The Investigation Division of the River Edge Police Department consists of one Lieutenant, one Sergeant, and two Detectives. The Investigation Division is responsible to follow up on all criminal investigations in the Borough in an attempt to bring cases to a resolution. The Investigations Division is also responsible for Megan’s Law Registration, Firearms Licensing, and Background Investigations. The Investigation Division works with other agencies on the County, State, and Federal level and acts as a liaison between those agencies and the Police Department.
