The Community Policing Division is overseen by the Investigations Division Sergeant who is also the Juvenile Officer for the Police Department. The Investigations Division Sergeant is the liaison to the schools in River Edge, and works with the schools, to bring programming include Law Enforcement Against Drugs (LEAD), Adopt A Cop (1st Grade Program), along with various other initiatives, programming, and opportunities to interact with the student population. The Community Policing Division involves multiple Officers from across the different Divisions in the Department, to connect with the community, make relationships with the community, and solve problems within the community.
