• 03/01/2025 3:15am (Public Intoxication)
Officers responded to the area of Monroe Avenue and Bogert Road for a reported intoxicated party in the roadway. Officers located a 21-year-old from River Edge, New Jersey, who was intoxicated. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.
• 03/02/2025 2:45am (DWI)
P.O. Colucci conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway #4 West for several motor vehicle violations. An investigation revealed Tiegh Francois, from Jersey City, New Jersey, was operating his vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant. Francois was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending his appearance in River Edge Municipal Court.

A resident in the 400 block of Fifth Avenue reported he was the victim of fraud by someone obtaining a line of credit in his name and purchasing cell phones. The victim was provided an identity theft booklet. The matter was forwarded to the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau for a follow-up investigation.
• 03/04/2025 3:32pm (Suspicious Activity)
A resident in the 100 block of Manning Avenue reported two people climbed onto his roof and stated it needed repairs. The individuals stated they repaired the roof and wanted to receive a tip for services rendered. The homeowner refused, and the individuals were last seen leaving the area in a red pickup truck. The matter was forwarded to the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau for a follow-up investigation.
• 03/06/2025 4:39pm (Theft/Fraud)
Officers responded to a report of a scam and theft in the 400 block of Oak Avenue. The victim had wired money, believing it was for a family member. The unknown suspects then requested additional funds, demanding cash. Sgt. Prisendorf, Sgt. Diamond, P.O. Colucci, P.O. Roman, P.O. Hamm, P.O. Doran, and P.O. Meade successfully located the suspects before they arrived in the area. Darius Tejada, Derrick N. McCarn, and Nicole Vale-Taniyah, all from the Bronx, New York, were arrested and charged with theft and money laundering. They were later released pending their appearance in the Superior Court of New Jersey.

Officers responded to the area of Grand Avenue and Kinderkamack Road for a reported intoxicated party in the roadway. Officers located a 39-year-old from Elizabeth, New Jersey, who was intoxicated. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.
• 03/09/2025 10:16am (Fraud)
A resident of Surrey Lane reported being the victim of a fraud scheme, where someone convinced him to wire money in exchange for gold bars. The victim never received the gold bars and subsequently wired additional funds for the bars. The victim was given an identity theft booklet, and the case has been forwarded to the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau for further investigation.

Officers responded to the area of Tenney Avenue and Kinderkamack Road for a reported intoxicated party in a New Jersey Transit Bus. Officers located a 35-year-old from Hackensack, New Jersey, who was intoxicated. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A resident in the 300 block of Continental Avenue reported that her package was stolen on March 14, 2025, at 6:24 p.m. The victim stated that she saw the package being delivered and then observed a suspect walk onto her property and take the package shortly afterward. The case has been forwarded to the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau for further investigation.
• 03/18/2025 09:43am (Fraud)
A resident in the 100 block of Bogert Road reported being the victim of a fraud scheme, where someone asked him to confirm a financial account number. The victim provided the financial bank account information, and a short time later all his funds went missing. The victim was given an identity theft booklet, and the case has been forwarded to the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau for further investigation.
• 03/23/2025 9:51pm (Warrant Arrest)
Officers responded to a report of a male causing a disturbance in the rear of the 7-Eleven at 1080 Main Street. Investigation revealed that a 40-year-old male from New Milford was yelling about a bicycle. It was also determined that he was wanted out of New Milford, New Jersey. The male was arrested and transported to the River Edge Police Department for processing. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance by the New Milford Police Department.

A resident on Main Street reported he was the victim of fraud by someone fraudulently utilizing his credit card account. The victim stated an unknown suspect made purchases utilizing his credit card in central New Jersey. The victim was provided an identity theft booklet. The matter was forwarded to the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau for a follow-up investigation.

A resident in the 200 block of Valley Road reported she was the victim of fraud by someone obtaining a line of credit in her name, changing her phone numbers, and purchasing cell phones. The victim was provided an identity theft booklet. The matter was forwarded to the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau for a follow-up investigation.

P.O. Mastropierro conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway #4 West for several motor vehicle violations. An investigation revealed Jose Blanco, from Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, was operating his vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant. Blanco was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending his appearance in River Edge Municipal Court.
• 03/29/2025 2:50pm (Fraud)
A resident in the 200 block of Madison Avenue reported being the victim of fraud after receiving a call from someone claiming that his financial accounts had been compromised. The victim provided personal information, and the suspect subsequently withdrew an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The victim was given an identity theft booklet, and the case has been forwarded to the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau for further investigation.
• 03/29/2025 8:51pm (Public Intoxication)
Officers responded to the area of 65 Route 4 East for a reported intoxicated party in the area. Officers located a 49-year-old from Paterson, New Jersey, who was intoxicated. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.
