OCTOBER 18, 2023<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Attempted Robbery<\/p>

On Wednesday, October 18, 2023 a resident of the 300 block of Howland Ave. returned home from work at approximately 10:00 PM.\u00a0 After parking his car in his driveway, he began walking towards the front door of his house.\u00a0 At this point he observed a male party walk across his lawn and point a handgun at him.\u00a0 The male party made a comment.\u00a0 The resident ducked behind his car and began shouting.\u00a0 The male party fled on foot, and the resident saw a vehicle traveling west on Howland Ave. towards Paramus.\u00a0<\/p>

Initial indicators suggest that the resident may have been specifically targeted.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

OCTOBER 19, 2023<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Possible attempted theft of construction equipment<\/p>

On Thursday, October 19, 2023 at approximately 8:10 PM, a resident was driving on Manning Ave., past the construction site located at the paper street path.\u00a0 The resident reported that they observed a navy-blue sedan parked on the north side of Manning Ave., in front of the construction site.\u00a0 The resident further reported that the vehicle was occupied by 2 males and 1 female, all wearing ski mask.\u00a0 The resident past the vehicle, the vehicle fled, traveling east on Manning Ave. \u00a0<\/p>

This incident suggests a possible attempted theft of construction equipment.<\/p>

Currently there is no connection between these two incidents.\u00a0 Both of the above noted incidents are being investigated by the River Edge Police Department Detective Bureau.\u00a0<\/p>
